This whole SNL defense thing was weird. Her stiff, distant, and weird performance didn’t come across as ‘her thing;’ it came across as a performance by someone that wasn’t comfortable performing on a national scale. That’s what happens when you don’t work your way up to that level and just buy yourself a high-profile music career.

As much as I hate the idea of Lana Del Rey (since she essentially bought herself a music career), this songs has some really nice moments and I like the tone of all of this… although I have no idea why that first shot is there
